We gave them some space to tell us about themselves, their process, and what inspires them. This is what they said:

I'm a bipolar Filipina American writer in my late 30s and live in New Jersey. I still feel like I'm just beginning to know my voice and artistry even though I've been writing for well over two decades. I love creating interactive art from thrifted, long out of wide use objects like rolodexes, apothecary cabinet, vintage clock, etc. You can write to me, trade zines, etc., at Eileen Ramos PO Box 10022, Edison, NJ 08906.

Every single thing I wrote or made was for my younger self--no exceptions. To affirm her, to console her, to show it's safe to be vulnerable, sincere and absolutely passionate and she (I) will remain worthy and appreciated. I get to make artworks and zines that would embiggen her eyes and move her to say "WOW I GET TO DO THAT?!" If it will somehow help me and her, then it definitely needs to be born.

Whenever I vend at zine fests and events, I always bring a load of books & zines I've read to give away with purchase. It's fun to match folks with the works I feel are right for them. I also like providing candy for anyone to take, as well as gift bags for people who don't have a bag already to carry their haul. No charge at all.
